What we clean

Truckmount steam carpet & upholstery cleaning

Carpet is like a sponge. It collects dirt over time and holds it deep in the fibres. For health reasons, carpets should be professionally cleaned every 12 to 18 months. With pets or kids at home, every 6 months, especially the high traffic areas like the den, hallways and stairs.

We use hot water extraction (deep steam cleaning). It is the most effective method and is recommended by most carpet manufacturers. No sticky residue, so your carpet stays cleaner longer.

How we do it

Pre-spray. A safe, enzyme-based solution breaks down organic dirt and stains and lifts them to the tips of the fibres.
Hot water extraction. Our truckmount blasts the carpet with 400 PSI hot water and vacuums the water and dirt right out. On average we use 30 gallons of water to clean a 4 bedroom house.

Why not rent a machine? Rental machines have low water pressure and weak vacuum, and they leave soap behind. That residue attracts more dirt, so your carpet gets darker and the fibres get stiff. Add the rental, chemicals and your time, and it's not worth it.

We also clean upholstery, area rugs, vehicle interiors, autos and RVs, and do pet odour removal.

About the owner

The owner is always on site

Carlito Pozon came to Canada from the Philippines in 2006. He worked for top manufacturing companies as a production supervisor and then as a CNC machinist, jobs that need initiative, good people skills and close attention to detail.

Carlito is certified with the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and keeps learning the best cleaning practices. You get a professional with the right tools, who cares about doing the job right.

Why the name "Vacuum Thingymajigger"?

When I started the business in 2016, my then 6 year old daughter asked what I was doing on the computer. I told her I was researching vacuums. Later, I was on the bus to Edmonton to pick up the truck, still thinking of a company name. She called and asked, "Dad, are you still working on the vacuum thingymajigger?" That was it. My daughter gave me the name.
